Privacy Policy

WillItRun440 values your privacy. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Website analytics (self-hosted): we measure site traffic with our own first-party tools that run on our server. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or any third-party analytics service, and we do not set analytics cookies. A small script on our pages reports the page you viewed, the referring site, your browser, operating system and device type, how long the visit lasted, and whether you started or submitted the Sell to Us form. A random visit ID is kept in your browser's session storage only until you close the tab. We also read our standard web server logs to recognize automated traffic (bots). Your approximate location (country, state, county and city) is estimated from your IP address using a local copy of the free DB-IP Lite database (IP Geolocation by DB-IP, CC BY 4.0); your IP address itself is not stored in our analytics database, only a scrambled version (a salted hash) that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked from one day to the next. Our web server's own access logs, which do contain IP addresses, are rotated and deleted automatically. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends either signal, we do not create a visit record for you at all; we only add one to an anonymous daily page count.

What we do not collect by default: we do not collect personal profile data from normal browsing beyond standard web request metadata and analytics listed above.

Customer-submitted data: if you submit a contact form, quote request, or purchase details, we collect the information you provide (such as name, email, phone, shipping details, and listing-related notes).

How we use information: to process orders/quotes, provide support, improve listings and site performance, and understand traffic trends over day/week/month/year periods.

Payments: payment data is processed by third-party platforms. WillItRun440 does not store full payment card numbers on this website.

Sharing: we share information only as needed to complete transactions or as required by law.

Security: we use reasonable safeguards to protect account and order information.

Retention: analytics and operational records may be retained to support reporting, fraud prevention, and business history analysis.

Your choices: you can request updates or corrections to contact details you submitted by contacting us through our listed channels.

Deleting your account

You can close your WillItRun440 account at any time from Account › Security › Request account removal. We email you a confirmation link (valid for 24 hours); once you confirm, your account is closed right away, you're signed out on every device, and you can no longer sign in. We then delete your profile (name, email, phone, PayPal email, saved addresses and sign-in history) and any quote requests that never resulted in a payment, along with their photos.

Some records are kept even after your account is deleted, because tax and bookkeeping rules require businesses to retain transaction records: quotes we paid you for (items, amounts, payment reference, shipping label and tracking), store orders, and sales-tax records by state and ZIP code. These are kept without your contact details, under an internal reference number, only for as long as the law requires. If you have a quote in progress when you close your account, we may email you to finish or cancel it. You can also ask us to close your account by contacting us.

Policy updates: this policy may be updated periodically. Changes are posted on this page with an updated effective date.
